I saw my husband putting this in the skillet for breakfast this morning and thought it was weird because I just ate it in a wrap without cooking it at all.
As it turns out, this is country ham. Not a really thick, really tough prosciutto. It still made a pretty good sandwich though!

Waiiiit...girl, please tell me you're joking?!!!
ReplyDeleteNo joke. I really did that. My husband is really into cured meat and it was being kept in the drawer with the lunch meat.
ReplyDeletethats pretty gross....im guessing your not sick? blah, make me want to puke.
ReplyDeletewell, country ham is usually already cured, so you don't technically have to cook it. I think it's better if it's seared in a pan for a bit and served on a biscuit - maybe with a little grape jelly.
ReplyDeleteI don't really care for ham...but there is no way I would know the difference between ham and cured ham. Oh well, it's cured.... :)
ReplyDeleteI figured it couldn't be too bad since I didn't get sick.
