I'll be back

Spoiler!  I finished the the Cowtown Marathon yesterday!  It was slow going, but I got there.  It was a really crazy weekend.  I picked Brad up from the airport on Friday.  He ran the Cowtown 10k on Saturday.  After waking up late, he rushed out to Fort Worth (not very close to us at all), then ran from the car straight across an already empty starting line, and then he drove back here for Alaurie's soccer game.  After the soccer game we drove back to Fort Worth to join my dad and the rest of my family at our hotel and hit up the Expo.  We ate together that night, I went to target for some cheap tube socks (arm warmers, and on clearance for $1.75!), then got up bright and early the next morning for the marathon.  Finished the marathon, chatted with the folks and headed back home for dinner and an ice bath.  The weekend feels like it didn't end until this morning when I dropped Brad back off at the airport for another week of visiting IKEA stores.

My house is a disgusting disaster right now.  Just thinking about all the things I have to do is making me exhausted.  So hopefully I can have a race recap up tomorrow!

Thanks for all the good luck you sent my way before the marathon.  Maybe now you can wish me luck in getting my house back in order.

  2. Some days the best part about the long run is that you get OUT of the house. Might be easier for me to run a marathon than to get my house in order! Uphill battle all the way! Congrats!

  4. Ok I totally saw you at the start of the race in corral 6 by the porta-potties and I wanted to come up and say hello but I didn't want to look like a stalker, I will say that I was SO excited you were in the same corral as I was. I read several blogs and all those chicks are super fast and I don't identify with them. It meant a ton that you were there near me. My race was crap personally so I hope yours was WAY better.
